Short bio

I specialise in ICT security. Since 2019 I am self-employed. I am interested in the technical, the organisational/management and the legal perspective on ICT security. I perform in-depth reviews, assist with the selection of solutions, and perform implementations. Areas I worked in include authorisations and access control, biometric recognition, network security, PKI, smartcards, as well as information security organisation legislation and policies, standards and guidelines.

I hold CISA (1993), CISM (2004) and CGEIT (2008) certifications from ISACA. While at PwC I was accredited "Lead Auditor" for ISO/IEC 27001 assignments.

Prior to being self-employed I worked for

PricewaterhouseCoopers, in roles from consultant to director, from 1989 to 2019
Esso, as a systems programmer on IBM mainframes and as a technical analyst
Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company, where I developed and delivered training courses on digital telephony
Texas Instruments, as Internal Sales Engineer
