Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - IPCC - UN body for assessing the science related to climate change

Created in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the objective of the IPCC is to provide governments at all levels with scientific information that they can use to develop climate policies.
For the assessment reports, IPCC scientists volunteer their time to assess the thousands of scientific papers published each year to provide a comprehensive summary of what is known about the drivers of climate change, its impacts and future risks, and how adaptation and mitigation can reduce those risks.
The IPCC does not conduct its own research.

Several of the people interviewed are well-known for spreading misinformation and have shared claims which were found to be incorrect or misleading in past Science Feedback reviews. Among them are Willie Soon, Richard Lindzen, William Happer, Steven Koonin, and Ross McKitrick.' - which sounds odd given these people are scientists/physists including a nobleprice winner, and even more so if you notice that Meta and TikTok are some of the key partners of 'science.feedback.org'
